The battle against malaria is crucial to improving public health and alleviating poverty in many developing countries.

From the establishment of the Africa Health Initiative in 2000 through year-end 2007, ExxonMobil will have spent more than $40 million to help fund organizations and programs fighting the spread of malaria.

In 2008 ExxonMobil was recognized for being a private sector leader in the fight against malaria.
