ExxonMobil Baton Rouge currently provides jobs to more than 5,200 residents of the Baton Rouge area. This includes approximately 3,400 employees and 1,800 contractors.

We hire almost all of our operations staff locally. Since about 25 percent of our operators will be retirement eligible within the next five years, we hired 30 mechanical apprentices in 2006, and anticipate hiring a similar number each year for the next several years.

We also anticipate hiring about 30 new professionals each year for the next several years, paying special attention to Louisiana colleges and universities.
