Began construction of Kizomba A floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel and tension leg platform to be installed in 4,000 feet of water to develop two fields.

First production at Xikomba development in November, designed to ultimately develop approximately 100 million barrels of oil (gross).

First production in August at Kizomba A, with world’s largest FPSO that receives production from a 36-slot tension leg platform.

2007
To date, a total resource of nearly 5 billion oil-equivalent barrels discovered. Production began from Marimba North, the first subsea tie-back to the Kizomba A infrastructure.

Production began from Kizomba C. Mondo field started production in January. The Saxi and Batuque fields began production in July. These projects are expected to recover approximately 600 million barrels of oil (gross).
2009
Awarded contracts for the Kizomba Satellites project with subsea tie-backs to the Kizomba A and B FPSOs. Achieved one billion barrels of cumulative production from Block 15.
