SYDNEY: Mobil today announced the continuing
rollout of its unique fuel discount program, offering great value and
convenience for customers, which is now available at 121 Mobil and Quix
service stations in metropolitan NSW (Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong) and the
ACT.
Mobil customers in metropolitan areas of NSW and
Canberra will be able to save 4 cents per litre off the cost of their fuel,
with this discount instantly credited against their fuel purchases, when they
spend $5 or more on shop items or a carwash.
Unlike some
other fuel discount offers that are limited to a maximum of 30 litres, Mobil's
offer is available on fuel purchases up to a maximum of 100 litres.
Mobil Oil Australia Pty Ltd Retail Fuels Manager, Matt Bergeron, said "All of
us at Mobil are very excited to bring this unique fuel discount offer to
customers in NSW and Canberra. We launched a full scale market trial in
Adelaide in August last year and customers have responded to it very well
there.
"A few weeks before Christmas we rolled the program
out across the Mobil network in Melbourne and Geelong, and then to Brisbane
and the Gold Coast. While of course it's still early days there, we are
pleased with the response to date. Our team in NSW/ACT has been very keen to
extend the discount program to their markets and we fully expect that this
offer will get an equally positive reaction from customers in NSW/ACT.
"We believe Mobil customers will find this offer very competitive and very
convenient. There are no coupons or receipts to worry about, no need to shop
at multiple businesses and no need to drive from "A" to "B" to save on fuel.
Mobil customers can get a discount off their fuel costs immediately and for a
much lower expenditure on grocery and other shop items or a carwash."

Customers are eligible for this discount when they spend $5 or more on shop
items and/or car washes at participating sites

The discount is only available on fuel purchases paid for in the shop at time
of shop item/car wash purchase

consistent with the individual sites usual payment policy
