ExxonMobil has long supported art and culture, particularly initiatives that promote community access. This has been the focus of our relationship with Opera Australia and Orchestra Victoria.

Community Night at the Opera

ExxonMobil joined with Opera Australia, Orchestra Victoria and the Hobsons Bay City Council to present a 'Night at the Opera' to more than 800 local residents who live in the vicinity of the Altona refinery and the Yarraville terminal in Melbourne.

The free community event is held at the Williamstown Town Hall and features a highlights program of popular opera songs and music, with stars from Opera Australia and a 50-piece orchestra from Orchestra Victoria.

In Sale, Gippsland, a similar free community concert is held, in association with the Wellington Shire Council.

Esso BHP Billiton Wellington Entertainment Centre

ExxonMobil (operating as Esso) and its Bass Strait co-venturer, BHP Billiton, have been long-standing contributors to the Gippsland community.

One of our major joint venture projects has been our support of the Esso BHP Billiton Wellington Entertainment Centre. The centre provides a focal point for the performing arts and other entertainment events in Wellington Shire and the Gippsland region.
