Gas and Power Marketing commercialises ExxonMobil's substantial gas reserves,
forming a key link between the platform and the customer. In Australia, we
market natural gas and natural gas liquids from three basins and a major
refinery.
Gas Marketing seeks high-energy graduates with a
"numerical" degree and a sharp mind for business. We recruit from a diverse
range of disciplines including engineering, business, economics, science, and
accounting/finance. Right from the start, graduates tackle wide ranging
challenges including analytical modelling, strategy development and logistics
optimisations. This often requires working closely with other functions around
Australia and the world to achieve integrated solutions.
Graduates typically begin their careers in one of two groups: Gippsland Gas
Marketing and Natural Gas Liquids.
Gippsland Gas Marketing
The Gippsland Gas Marketing Group markets natural gas from the Gippsland
Basin, the largest natural gas region in eastern Australia, supplying over 90%
of Victoria's gas demand. In recent years, Gippsland Gas Marketing has
successfully expanded Gippsland supplies into New South Wales, South
Australia, and Tasmania. Gippsland Gas Marketing offers an exciting
environment for those who would like to be part of a team capturing new
opportunities in a dynamic market.
Natural Gas Liquids
The Natural Gas Liquids Group markets and manages the supply logistics of all
ethane, propane and butane produced from the Gippsland basin and Mobil's
Altona refinery. To achieve this, the group works closely with Production,
Refining and Supply, Fuels Marketing and ExxonMobil Chemicals. The group also
focuses on identifying, analysing and negotiating business development
opportunities to enhance the value of natural gas liquids from well head to
across the entire supply chain.
